In public class, we will explore ancient breathing techniques, asanas, mantras, relaxation practices, and meditation that leads to higher states of physical and mental health. The purpose of Hatha Yoga is to balance the physical and energetic systems so that a state of stillness, clarity, and expansion can be developed in the mind. These expanded states allow the practitioner to move towards Self-Knowledge and peace. As the student develops their own perfect practice, the teacher's role is to monitor progressions and support movement through roadblocks that arise.
